Wuss Camp has five campsites on 80 acres of private wild park land, including meadows, forests, a creek, and wooded hiking trails. Your guide is our wise and gentle concierge, Louie, a Queensland heeler. In season, forage for wild chanterelles, view nesting great blue herons, and, always, wake and sleep to the roar of the ocean and the astonishing starry late night skies (no ambient light here!). The land embraces you. You are not a visitor, you are part of the story at Wuss Camp.

Prime location

We’re located on forested farmland a mile from the ocean in Humboldt’s scenic Eel River Valley. Few campsites in the area offer such easy access to the rugged Lost Coast; you can hike from our camp down the county road to Centerville Beach. And we’re conveniently situated near the charming historic town of Ferndale & California’s most famous redwood parks.

Kid & pet friendly

Our property is a safe place for kids to play in the meadow, along (and in—bring dry clothes or plan to use our dryer) the creek. Non-aggressive dogs (cannot chase beef cattle! or disturb other guests and their dogs) … are welcome. The place is magic for children. We know. We were children here ourselves.
